How it works

How to make a location QR code

  1. Enter your full address, your business name as it appears on Google Maps, or latitude and longitude.
  2. Pick your style and download the code.
  3. Scan it to check the pin lands in the right place before you print.

What a location QR code contains

The code stores a Google Maps search link for your place. On a phone it opens the Google Maps app if it's installed, or Maps in the browser, with your location pinned and directions one tap away.

Tips for codes that scan

  • Coordinates are the most precise. In Google Maps, long-press your location to copy them.
  • Use your exact business name if it's listed on Google Maps, so the pin shows your hours and reviews.
  • Add the code to invitations and delivery notes, where people need directions most.

Where people use them

  • Wedding and event invitations
  • Shop and clinic signboards
  • Delivery and pickup notes
  • Property listings

FAQ

Common questions

Still curious? Drop us a line and a human will get back to you.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. The link opens the Google Maps app if it's installed, or Google Maps in the browser if not.

Should I use an address or coordinates?

Coordinates are exact. Addresses and place names work well too, as long as Google Maps finds the right place.

Can I change the location later?

Not on a static code. Use a dynamic code if you might move or want to reuse the printed code.
