How it works

How to make a UPI QR code

  1. Enter your UPI ID (the address that ends in @okaxis, @ybl, @paytm and so on) and the name you want payers to see.
  2. Add an amount if every customer pays the same price, and a short note such as an order number. Leave both empty for a pay-any-amount code.
  3. Download the PNG or SVG, then scan it with a UPI app and check the name before you print.

What a UPI QR code contains

A UPI QR code stores a standard upi://pay link. Any UPI app reads it and opens a payment screen with your UPI ID and name filled in. QRius only builds the link: payments go straight from the customer's bank account to yours, and QRius never sees or holds the money.

Print and placement

Tips for codes that scan

  • Check the payee name in your UPI app before printing. It's what customers see, so it should match your shop name.
  • Leave the amount empty on counter stickers so customers can type any amount.
  • Print it at least 3 cm wide, keep the white border around it, and avoid glossy lamination that glares under shop lights.
  • A QR code can't confirm a payment on its own. Check your UPI app or bank alert before you hand over goods.

Is this UPI QR code generator free?

Yes. Static UPI QR codes are free to create and download, with no signup and no expiry. QRius never takes a cut of your payments.

Which apps can scan it?

Any UPI app that scans QR codes, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM, plus most banking apps.

Can I fix the amount?

Yes. Enter an amount and the payer's app opens with it filled in. Leave it empty to let people pay any amount.

Is it safe to share my UPI QR code?

A UPI QR code only lets people send money to you; nobody can take money out with it. Only print your own UPI ID, and check the payee name in your app first.
